Breeches of Doom

I officially have a new sewing project to hate. Breeches. I picked up the pattern from JP Ryan for my husband. I figured it's a waste of time making anything for myself because my shape will be changing so dramatically. But hey why not work on clothes for my husband?! Perhaps it isn't that I hate breeches themselves, maybe it's my lack of experience sewing them. To be fair the pattern does warn you, CAUTION:  THESE BREECHES ARE TIME CONSUMING TO CONSTRUCT. PRIOR SEWING EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
So I dived right on in. Reading my instructions and the history given in the booklet. I even opted for a muslin. Which I haven't needed for awhile now.

I am so frustrated with these things. I just can't seem to grasp how to put them together. Currently fighting off the urge to start from scratch.

Even the pictures turned out blurry. I starting to suspect that they are cursed.

I put them on my husband last night and they seemed like they aren't even going to fit. I don't want to walk away from this project but I can just feel them killing my urge to sew anything.
 I need a sewing cleansing.

~ Post Scriptum ~

Ah ha! So it isn't just me! After finishing this post I hit Google to see if I could get more info about this pattern. I even found another blog that called them "Breeches of Doom" as well. Oh sheesh! Feeling like I want my money back for a flawed pattern.
